J. Bruce Wardle, CAE
President and CEO, Association Management Group (AMG)
Bruce Wardle, CAE, is the President and CEO of Association Management Group (AMG). He is an Association Executive who brings significant experience and skill in nonprofit management, governance, marketing and communications, and certification work to the association community. He is dedicated to furthering the goals and success of AMG’s clients.
Bruce has been with AMG since 1993. He purchased the firm from its founder in 1999. Today, AMG, headquartered in the Washington, DC area, is one of the leading association management companies (AMCs) in the country, serving more than 18 full service clients and delivering numerous outsource services to others. AMG employs more than 85 full-time staff associates, who work in client teams and in AMGs shared services departments.
Bruce is an active member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), having served as Chair of ASAE’s AMC Council, is a member of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), having served as Chair of PCMA’s Education Foundation, is an active member with the Association Management Company Institute (AMCI), having served for six years as a member of the Board of Directors, and currently sits on the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts Associates Board. In addition to his extensive association management knowledge, Bruce has experience in federal government relations and advocacy, a significant benefit to AMG’s clients, many of whom have substantial government relations agenda.
An avid skier and hiker, Bruce graduated with a degree in political science and business from the University of Utah. He and his wife live in Arlington, Virginia and Midway, Utah.
