Hunter Clemens, CAE, CMP, brings more than 25 years of accomplishment-laden experience in the hospitality and meetings industry.
Hunter’s career beginning as a front desk clerk at the Hyatt Regency in Savannah, Georgia built a solid foundation in hotel operations that laid the groundwork for his success in hospitality service and sales. Career moves from Connecticut to Florida gave him management and sales experience with major hotel brands such as Omni, Hilton, Sheraton and Marriott.
Offering a rare blend of management and operational strengths, Hunter has achieved success through his strategic approach to delivering meetings success for his clients. Prior to AMG, he served as Associate Vice President of Convention Development at NYC & Company, where his work repositioned and revitalized a campaign that included major shifts in sales and marketing strategies for NYC and led to significant additional convention bookings in the city.
Hunter is known for his integrity and is highly regarded by MMG customers and colleagues alike. He is a member of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), and has served on the Board of Directors of the Capital Chapter of PCMA as well as various committees.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending quality time with his family as well as gardening and playing golf and tennis. A native of Savannah and a graduate of the University of Georgia, Clemens and his wife, Thérèse, live with their three children in Kensington, Maryland.
